Project 01
DRESS SHOE REFORM

By exploring inventive calculations to challenge the norm for a reformation, Karmuel Young presents the debut collection, with a harmonic equilibrium between natural and synthetic elements.

In addition to protecting and comforting men's foot with shoes, the Dress Shoe Reform collection formulates alternate perspectives and adds value to the existing daily items, footwear, henceforth dressing and securing them to heighten the absolute value and refinement of the day-to-day life.

“The universe is real but you can’t see it. You have to imagine it. Once you imagine it, you can be realistic about reproducing it.”

Alexander Calder

“The design are not the details. They make the design.”

Charles Eames

“But I don’t think of any particular viewer in mind other than myself.”

Richard Serra

The revolutionary products, Shoe Cuffs (models: SC-25, SC-65, SC-25Y) and Shoelaces (models: SL-690, SL-810) are constructed by clean lines and architectural forms with finest materials.

Any new-man-to-be explores the products, he will uncover thoughtful design elements, such as fine Italian leather with organic hand-made finishing, juxtaposition of textures, Mondrian inspired geometric forms and primary color palette, altogether adds a refined yet tranquil accent to any pair of dress shoes, and a sophisticated highlight to a man's presence.

“The colored planes, as much by position and dimension as by the greater value given to color, plastically express only relationships and not forms.”

Piet Mondrian

“I think scale is about, in a way, the apprehension of proportions that mean things to us as human beings are related to the body.”

Antony Gormley
